Quick Trip

LocationsTrail Mix

Last week Michael and I got the opportunity to make a quick trip to Pensacola to see the boys. And when I say quick, I mean we drove down Monday, spent Tuesday with the boys and my family, and drove back Wednesday. It was exhausting and wonderful at the same time. We basically crammed a full visit into one day and tried to see a little bit of everyone and do a little bit of everything.

We started off our day with Krispy Kreme with Justin and his girlfriend Paige. They make such a cute couple. We love them! ?

We got to see Camden working on his newest art project and meet a few of his friends. It was really neat to see his drawing project on the “A” board. It looked fantastic!

We met Justin and Camden for lunch, then picked up an SD card for our new GoPro and headed to my favorite spot at the beach. If you don’t know the details of my favorite beach hike at Fort Pickens, you can see all the details in Soul Food. On our walk, Justin tried out our new GoPro and here is the video he promised.

It was so nice to leave cold, stuck-somewhere-in-between-spring-and-winter Indiana and spend one day in Florida where it was sunny and the temperatures were in the 80’s.

We ended our day with a wonderful meal with my sister and her family, and then went and spent a little time with my dad, brother and his family. Last, we dropped the boys back at their campus and said good bye.
What a day!

If travelling, hiking, good byes, or nearly everything else make you hungry like they do me, you will probably enjoy my Fruit Fantasia Trail Mix. Hope you like it as much as I do!
